Many things to ponder...
Inclement Weather Policy: While we hope winter is behind us and we look forward to an abundance of rain this spring, we all know that the weather in Texas is very unpredictable. If precipitation and freezing temperatures are in the forecast, for everyone’s safety, we will cancel meetings, services and also close the office. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please call Fr. Le-Minh at the church office.
Practice Charity: During these months when flu, noroviruses and other illnesses are easily spread, it is good to remember some rules of charity:
-Washing hands thoroughly with soap and water or using hand sanitizer diminishes the chance to catch or spread the viruses.
-If you are sick, stay home. It is never a sin to miss Mass due to illness.
-If your children are sick, keep them home from Mass and Religious Education.
-Teach your children to cover their coughs and sneezes appropriately.
-When receiving the Eucharist, we receive the fullness of the Body and Blood of Christ under the species of bread alone or wine alone. Receiving Communion under both species is a fuller sign, but Christ is fully present in each of the species so receiving both is not required. (See Catechism 1390.)
Daylight Saving Time: On Sunday, March 9 at 2AM, we will “spring forward” one hour. Don’t forget to adjust your clocks!
